Markets of Istanbul
One of the most exotic cities in the world, Istanbul captures the imagination. Capital to two major empires, the city is full of historic treasures and sights. One of its most notable: The Grand Bazaar. For over 600 years it has been the epicenter of trade connecting the East and West. One can find gold jewelry, inlaid metallic wares, hand woven textiles, and, most famously, kilims and oriental carpets with stunning patterns. Nearby, the Spice Market is the source for all things delicious, including sweets and spices. This collection of four patterns, inspired by Istanbul's great markets, includes Grand Bazaar, with a large scale circular motifs reminiscent of the finest gold jewelry; Kilim and Magic Carpet, two geometric patterns inspired by Turkey's woven rugs; and Turkish Delight, a brightly colored smooth surface polyurethane in a range of rich jewel tones named for the delicious candy found in the markets. All four patterns are designed for high performance spaces, and all are bleach cleanable. Grand Bazaar, Kilim and Magic Carpet are made in the U.S.A. and have high performance stain repellent finishes to aid in cleaning.
