Kashmir 197 The Textiles of India Collection 1999 IIDA ACCLAIM Award: Winner 2000 Design Journal Award for Design Excellence: Silver Award Like the treasured fiber of the cashmere (Kashmir) goat, Kashmir has a luxurious hand and inherent softness. The combination of three distinct yarns create a lively play of color and light. The smooth warp yarns contrast in color and texture with the lustrous bouclé and soft chenille weft yarns, creating a rich play of texture and color. The colorways include rich reds and softer rust tones reminiscent of Indian spices. While the fabric appears to be as fragile as cashmere, it actually has been constructed to stand up to the most demanding use.
