The Tidepools Collection
|
Along the beaches of the Pacific Northwest, tucked among the rocky outcroppings, are tidepools filled with abundant wildlife. Seen only at low tide, the animals and plants cling to the boulders, waiting for the cool waters to rise and cover them once again. With its subtle strié effect and muted colors, High Tide conjures the unique inland waters of Puget Sound, whose placid surface is composed of numerous nuanced shades. Jacquard woven, its chenille rib gives the cloth great depth and texture. Low Tide is a swirling chenille rib construction reminiscent of an underwater garden. It takes its color cues from local marine life in the Sound. Sea Urchin's textural metallic spots mimic the bumpy surface of the sea urchin shell. Woven of polyester, rayon and cotton, no repeat is visible when the fabric is upholstered on large surfaces such as walls. Seaside's sandy surface and neutral tones nod to the beaches of the area; its bouclé yarns contrast with and complement the metallic and softer patterns in the collection. Seaside is especially appropriate for use on tackboard surfaces or fabric wallcovering where a subtle but textured fabric is required. A portion of the proceeds from all the sales of the Tidepools Collection will be donated to nonprofit organizations protecting wildlands in Washington State. |
